To check the maximum MTU size that can be used to establish a NordVPN connection, go to WAN > Internet Access menu and click on Path MTU Discovery button. For example, NordVPN may require a smaller MTU size, usually 1492 or smaller.

  • Download a new Standalone VPN Client and reinstall. The default MTU size of 1500 bytes may be too large to connect to certain sites via VPN.

  • Run the installer from the downloaded location and select Install to begin the installation.
  • Under Applications and Links, select Standalone VPN Client.
  • Log in to  with your Michigan Tech Account Name credentials using any web browser.
  • Installation of the new VPN client will remove the old client if you had it installed.
